ITV The Voice finalist unrecognisable after 12 years as they star in hit Netflix show

Sam Buttery, star of hit new Netflix series Kaos has been onscreen longer than fans may think, appearing on the first series of The Voice UK 12 years ago

Sam first appeared on screens during the first series of the BBC show at the time, at just 20 years old, and will be remembered for having a big voice, quiff, glasses and personality. Starring alongside Suzy Izzard and Ché, the show sees the three Fates (Atropos, Lachesis, and Clotho) deciding the destinies of all of humankind. “Existing and operating as a trans person, you can often feel quite immobilised or powerless because I suppose the fate – pardon the pun – of your life is discussed in an abstract setting, like the government,” she said.
