ITV orders a drama depicting the contaminated blood scandal after Mr Bates Vs The Post Office sparked nationwide uproar


Double-BAFTA winner Peter Moffat is penning a drama based on the shocking tale, which has been described as the 'biggest health scandal in our history.'

According to Deadline, ITV greenlit the series before a production company was attached, and head of drama Polly Hill has fast-tracked the show following the huge success of Mr Bates Vs The Post Office. ITV have already secured a successor to its megahit drama Mr Bates Vs The Post Office (pictured), with a series based on the contaminated blood scandal in the works at the channel Mr Bates Vs The Post Office sparked uproar when it aired last month, showing how hundreds of innocent sub-postmasters and postmistresses were wrongly accused of theftand fraud
