ITV News star dramatically quits after 36yrs on air saying 'this is one of the hardest decisions I've ever made'


ITV Granada reporter Lucy Meacock, who is known for presenting Granada Reports, has revealed that she is leaving the show after over three decades on our screens

Lucy Meacock, who has worked as the the main presenter on ITV’s flagship news show Granada Reports, revealed live on air that she would be stepping back from the programme after 36 years, explaining that the time was “right” to move on. Viewers took to social media to show their support for Lucy (Image: Handout)In response to the comments, the beloved news presenter wrote on X: “I am so sorry I haven’t replied to anyone yet! In 1988, she joined Granada Reports and has also worked on a series of shows including This Morning from Liverpool, UpFront, The Late Debate, The Main Ingredient and Hearts and Minds.
