Emmerdale's Tom King, as played by James Chase, is turning to a lawyer as Belle Dingle's abuse allegations against him are being taken seriously by the authorities - but could this new character double-cross his own client? After being savagely assaulted by his estranged wife, whom he had terrorised, abused and manipulated throughout their relationship and marriage, the despicable vet woke up from his coma and coerced her into visiting him in hospital. This led wedding planner Belle, portrayed by Eden Taylor-Draper, to show him that she was done playing his mind games, and she informed the police about the abuse she had suffered at his hands.
