ITV Coronation Street legend quits the cobbles after 47 years on soap
Coronation Street's Tracy Barlow, who has been at the centre of a number of explosive storylines, could be set to leave the cobbled streets after over 45 years on the show
After an amazing run of 47 years, Tracy – played by actress Kate Ford – is leaving Weatherfield after discovering that a heartfelt letter from her sweetheart Tommy Orpington had been destroyed. Tommy had poured out his heart in the letter, expressing his dream of starting anew with Tracy in sunny Spain. Confusion followed as to what happened to the love note, and Tracy's daughter Amy was blamed for interfering, supposedly in an attempt to push her mum and Steve back together.
