ITV bosses 'forced to step in' during filming of new game show The Fortune Hotel over fears contestants could blow the budget


ITV bosses spent quite the fortune to film the upcoming game show The Fortune Hotel, to the point they had to 'restrict' the contestants' budget.

According to The Sun, the shoot for the psychological series - which is hosted by Stephen Mangan- was so pricey, bosses had to empty the contestants' mini bars in fear they could exceed the budget. A source told the publication that The Fortune Hotel specifically needed to look 'luxurious', and every room's mini fridge was stocked with posh tipple Whispering Angel.
