ITV axes two comedy shows after both just get one series each

Just days after revealing that The Masked Dancer had been axed, ITV has revealed another two shows that will sadly not be renewed after running for just one series

In the latest round of cuts to hit our screens this year, ITV have officially confirmed the axe of two of its newest comedy shows after just one series on air. Meanwhile Significant Other was a more traditional comedy drama format and followed troubled neighbours Anna (Katherine Parkinson) and Sam (Youssef Kerkour) who slowly fell in love over the course of the series. Yet while this may be bad news for fans, there is still a silver lining for viewers as some popular shows have been given a lifeline and renewed, such as Alan Carr ’s critically acclaimed Changing Ends which will now be returning for a second series this Summer.
