ITV axes major Saturday night primetime series

Ninja Warrior, which has been a huge hit for ITV since it launched in 2015, has been scrapped by the broadcaster in the wake of the huge success found by Gladiators' revival

ITV has decided to drop the hammer on its primetime show Ninja Warrior, after being pipped at the post by BBC's Gladiators in the ratings battle. An insider revealed, "For years Ninja Warrior was one of ITV's biggest shows and scooped up all those families who missed Gladiators."
