Is this the most pampered and entitled star in showbiz? No, not Demi Moore, but her ball of cream and caramel fur, Pilaf, who accompanies her everywhere
Surrounded by luxury in Hollywood mansions, celebrity dogs lead gilded lives. But there is one jet-setting pooch soaring (tiny) head and shoulders above the rest: Demi Moore's chihuahua Pilaf.
At Cannes last month, Pilaf even threatened to eclipse her owner as, with tongue lolling and beady eyes narrowed to shield against the sun — or perhaps to express her scorn for the little people — she tolerated the endless flashbulbs at a screening of Demi's new film The Substance. In her short three years of life, she has lounged aboard superyachts in the Med, posed poolside on the French Riviera for a swimwear shoot and soaked up the local colour on a Greek island tour. At Ascot last summer, Pilaf looked very at home in the Royal Enclosure while Demi quaffed bubbles in a chic Emilia Wickstead dress, and she also lapped up the chance to watch Rafael Nadal beat his own record to win the French Open for the 14th time in 2022.
