Robert Irwin has set his sights on country music stardom, just two months after nabbing a milestone nomination for the prestigious Gold Logie.

Then he surprised fans by hitting a Las Vegas stage in May this year, to perform with country music star Lee Kernaghan at the Steve Irwin Gala. 'One of those people [who suggested me for Bond] was Jasin Boland, who is the photographer for the 007 films with Daniel Craig,' Irwin told the magazine as he confirmed his interest in the role. The burgeoning young star credited his gung-ho attitude to tackling new careers to both nature and nurture and said that as he's grown up, he has realised he can use his personal fame to promote the causes close to his heart.
