Is the BBC about to waltz into another Strictly disaster? Giovanni Pernice 'set to be poached by rival ITV for I'm A Celeb' after quitting show - as co-stars including Anton Du Beke 'rally around' dancer to convince him to stay

Giovanni Pernice could be poached by ITV for I'm A Celeb in the wake of quitting Strictly Come Dancing amid bullying claims, MailOnline can reveal.

The Italian professional, 33, has been accused of being 'too tough' behind the scenes by several of his former celebrity partners including Ranvir Singh, 46, Laura Whitmore, 39, and Amanda Abbington, 52, who abruptly left last year's series amid speculation the pair did not get along. Now it's believed he won't return to his role despite judge and close friend Anton Du Beke encouraging him to remain on the BBC programme However, Giovanni had a positive relationship with deaf contestant Rose Ayling-Ellis, 29, who he led to a triumphant victory in 2021, with the pair going onto win a TV BAFTA for their silent dance routine.
