IOC Rules Jordan Chiles' Bronze Medal Will Be Reallocated After Inquiry
The International Olympic Committee confirmed on Sunday, August 11, that Jordan Chiles will be stripped of her bronze medal after a new ruling
Hours earlier, the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) ruled against Chiles’ boosted score that helped her clinch the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Games. Following the Court of Arbitration of Sport’s controversial ruling against Jordan Chiles’ floor exercise routine, her fellow members of Team USA are standing in solidarity. “The inquiry into the difficulty value of Jordan Chiles’ floor exercise routine was filed in good faith and, we believed, in accordance with FIG rules to ensure accurate scoring,” a statement from USA Gymnastics read.
