International Artists Management Kicked Out Of UK Agency Body After Misrepresenting Self-Tape Audition Invites

International Artists Management kicked out of the Personal Managers' Association after revelations it sent client misrepresented audition invites.

EXCLUSIVE: International Artists Management(IAM) has been removed from the UK’s respected agency professional body after Deadline revealed it sent a client misrepresented self-tape audition invites. In five of the purported invites, IAM appeared to change the wording of emails from casting directors to make it seem as if they had requested Barrett to tape for a role when in fact he had not been called to audition. IAM only joined the PMA last December and, in a legal letter last month, argued that it “abides with its code of conduct at all times.” This included clause 4.5, which states that agencies must have a “conscientious regard for the professional welfare of the client.”
