Inside The London Clinic where Kate Middleton had surgery: From gourmet meals to celebrity patients

Kate Middleton stayed at The London Clinic, a private hospital in London, for 13 nights following abdominal surgery - it provides gourmet meals from a top chef and a concierge

The private hospital in Marylebone, which opened in 1932 with 56 rooms, has cared for many royals over the years, including the late Queen, Prince Philip and Princess Margaret, along with previous US President John F Kennedy. The London Clinic is a "world away from an NHS hospital", with each room boasting air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with complimentary luxury products, reports the Mirror. All meals are made with fresh ingredients, and they try to buy local produce whenever they can - with meat from Smithfields market and fish sustainably sourced from Cornish boats.
