Original Gladiators cast member Saracen went on to marry one of the show's first ever contestants - Chrissie Mullings. Chrissie lost her heat in the fifth episode of Gladiators in 1992.
Michael Lewis - who became known as the King of Hang Tough - is happily wedded to Chrissie Mullings, who was in the fifth episode of ITV's original version of the sports entertainment show. Chrissie Mullings (pictured with Mike on-set for the reboot in 2023) lost her heat in episode five of the first series to the eventual female winner - Vanda Fairchild The couple still cannot let go of their connection to Gladiators over three decades after they applied, with the show's X account, formerly known as Twitter, posting a snap of them on-set for the recording of the reboot in June 2023.
