At Tokyo 2020, Keely, who was then just 19 years old, broke the British record set by Kelly Holmes in 1995, cementing herself as one to watch. However, her incredible - and unexpected - silver medal win posed challenges for Keely, who has been open about experiencing an intense "Olympic comedown" after the games. In a bid to combat her low moods, she began trying to take pleasure in everyday tasks, such as spending time with family or learning to play the piano.
