Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell caused a stir last weekend when they were spotted together in Texas.

While fans speculated that Sydney's attendance at the wedding was an indication of a burgeoning romance between her and Glen, the Top Gun actor's mom put the rumors to rest this week. Sydney is 'really close friends' with the whole Powell family, she added, and in particular Glen's sister Leslie, a Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter, who was tying the knot with Thomas Gillespie. There were hints of trouble in Sydney and Jonathan's romance earlier this year when the actress started staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel and removed a photo of her and her now-ex from Instagram.
