The refurbishment, led by Chelsea-based architect Simone de Gale, has given the venue a fresh lease of life, introducing a sophisticated new colour palette, warm lighting, and chic modern touches, all while preserving the building's historic grandeur. The sparing April sunshine didn't hold out for the couple on the day of their official union as it rained in London, but the wet weather did nothing to dampen their spirits as they beamed and laughed with their guests on the iconic steps of the town hall.
