The small provincial town in Sicily, Riesi, roughly two and a half hours from the capital Palermo, is known for its strong Mafia presence and high poverty levels. "Growing up wasn't easy because boys would start dancing because their mum told them to, and then after one lesson they would regret it and I was always the only one left," he shared with OX magazine. School was another story: teenager time was hard because I was being bullied...the only guy that used to dance, long hair."
