The nation fell in love with Rose Ayling-Ellis when she appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 and was paired with Giovanni Pernice.
The former EastEnders actress, 29, was born deaf and has gone on to take on groundbreaking roles on the soap, dancing show and more recently as part of the presenting team for Channel 4's Paralympics coverage. It came after Rose's friends expressed doubt over the couple's future due to their busy work schedules and said they were worried the infamous Strictly curse would strike again. She also revealed she would spend time explaining how scripts could be improved to make them more accessible and authentic to a deaf person's experience, but that her changes are often left out of the final cut.
