Inside King Charles' Sandringham bolthole as he prepares for next steps in cancer fight

As King Charles prepares to take the next steps in his ongoing cancer fight, we take a closer look inside his beautiful and relaxing Sandringham home where he will be recuperating

Swapping his usual home at Clarence House for the far more private and secluded property in Norfolk, Charles and his wife Queen Camilla stepped away from the public limelight to continue the next stages of his treatment in his ongoing cancer battle. However, at the opposite end of the scale, is the estate’s impressive White Drawing Room, which has often welcomed many foreign guests and dignities over the years with its stunning ornately carved walls and ceilings along with plenty of golden edged furnishings. The Great Saloon in particular often served as one of her favourite places to relax and unwind (Image: Instagram/ sandringham1870)The room also boasts a beautiful portrait of Queen Alexandra, the wife of King Edward VII, which hangs over the fireplace.
