The actress. 48, has swapped Hollywood for Cork to learn how to make soups and stews in a cookery course, according to reports.

According to reports, the actress, 48, who starred in the Christmas favourite alongside Cameron Diaz and Jude Law in 2006, is spending 2.5 days this week being taught by Irish celebrity chef, Rachel Allen, 52. Kate has been staying at four star Ballymaloe House and Ballyshane Coastal Retreats, which is private 20-acre compound boasting four properties with sea views and nearby walks to sandy beaches, claims the Irish Examiner. In the sold out course Cooking for Family and Friends at Ballymaloe Cookery School, Rachel teaches how to make meat and vegetarian dishes from starters to soups, salads, stews, puddings and more.
