Inside Jordan North's rise to fame: From self-proclaimed 'supply teacher' to rubbing shoulders with A-list celebrities as the Radio 1 DJ quits legendary show


Jordan North has quit BBC Radio 1's Going Home show after a decade. Read more about how Jordan went from being a 'supply teacher' of the airwaves to one of the best-known voices.

He is reportedly off to fill the boots of Roman Kemp on Capital Radio's breakfast show, while Jamie Laing is in line to take over at the BBC in the Monday to Thursday, 3.30pm to 6pm slot, next to co-host Vick Hope After a few years, he landed ta job at the BBC as a researcher for 5 Live, and also began working as a presenter for Capital Manchester and Rock FM. When the news was made public, Jordan said in a statement: 'I am absolutely chuffed to be making the move over to Radio 1 daytime and even happier to be working alongside Vick.
