Some within the BBC have questioned why the pro dancer was not unveiled alongside the other professionals a month earlier – particularly because the Beeb left fans waiting for some weeks following Giovanni's departure before putting the final list out. He later posts a revised statement which adds: 'While there are aspects of this story involving external influences that I can't discuss at this time, I remain committed to being strong for my family and friends.
