George Clooney and his wife Amal were among the A-listers who attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in 2018 but their friendship has appeared to fizzle out
The actor's bond with the Royals was confirmed when he and his wife Amal Clooney attended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in 2018, reports Birmingham Live. Boris Johnson's sister Rachel wrote in AirMail at the time: "There's a story doing the rounds that while Carolyn Bartholomew, Diana's former flatmate, was waiting for the wedding service to start, she turned to the couple alongside her and asked how they knew Harry or Meghan. George also defended Meghan on ITV's Good Morning Britain after he felt the media scrutiny she endured after tying the knot with Harry was "a little unjust" and "unfair", singing her praises as a "really kind and smart and intelligent young woman".
