Inside Fern Britton's painful split from husband from Phil Vickery after 20 years – with huge regret
Fern Britton and her ex husband, celebrity chef Phil Vickery split in January 2020 and announced their separation on social media - the former couple were together for 20 years
The couple - who met on the set of Ready Steady Cook in 1999 - shared the news of their split on their own respective social media accounts, and reflected on their two decades together. Stressing that she didn't want to be the "poster girl for separation," Fern did admit that she wished she had persevered through the inevitable changing landscapes of a relationship, especially in terms of children leaving home. Fern and Phil - who was spotted kissing her best friend in 2022- tied the knot in the spring of 2000, a year after she and her ex husband, TV executive Clive Jones divorced.
