The Birmingham-born actor Nick once starred in a music video for rock band Embrace as a policeman, which then struck a coincidence into his next role when he played Chief Superintendent Guy Mannion in The Bill between 1993 and 2001. In 2002, Nick starred alongside Hollywood royalty in Martin Scorsese epic Gangs of New York, as an Atlantic Guard Leader, which also featured Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Day-Lewis.
