Gillian Wright has played Jean Slater on EastEnders for almost 20 years and has been involved in some high profile storylines – but what do we know about the actress?
The actress is loved by viewers for her portrayal of Jean Slater on the popular BBC One show and has gained accolades for her time on TV. The Pilot Theatre website says: “Across all our projects we seek to create a cultural space where young adults can encounter, express, and interrogate big ideas that are relevant to our lives right now.” Her first TV role was back in 1994 when she appeared in the popular children's programme Chucklevision, alongside brothers Paul and Barry Chuckle.
