Indonesian Horror Film ‘Dominion of Darkness’ Sells To 53 Countries, Surpasses 1.4 Million Admissions At Domestic Box Office


'Dominion of Darkness' has notched more than 1.4 million domestic admissions within 20 days, after premiering on October 3 in Indonesia.

EXCLUSIVE: Indonesian horror film Dominion of Darkness has sold to 53 territories, including Taiwan (MovieCloud), Vietnam (Noori), Thailand (Shinesaeng Ad.Venture), the Philippines (Pioneer), Latin America (Mundo) and Russia (The World Pictures). Starring Jerome Kurnia, Lukman Sardi, Astrid Tiar, Lea Ciarachel, JKT48’s Freya and Delia Husein, the film follows a young Catholic priest who encounters a case of a girl whose descent into demonic possession is a chilling reminder of his late sister. Andi Boediman, the film’s executive producer, added “This success reflects the appeal of Dominion of Darkness not only for domestic audiences but also for international buyers.
