Indie Rights Takes Global Distribution for Australian Dark Comedy ‘Vincent’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Indie Rights has acquired worldwide distribution rights to 'Vincent,' the atmospheric arthouse dark comedy from Australian filmmaker Alan King.
The film, which King both directed and stars in as the troubled writer Vincent Tremblay, follows a protagonist who retreats to an isolated location to complete his first novel, only to encounter a mysterious powerful force that disrupts his solitude. “Many of the events and themes in the film’s narrative serve as metaphoric representations of addiction, isolation, mental health, friendships, family, social prejudices and concepts of identity.” The film features a cast including Christopher Kirby (“The Matrix Reloaded,” “Late Night With the Devil”), Mercia Deane-Johns (“Last Cab to Darwin”), Greg Fleet (“Wolf Creek”) and Zoe Bertram (“Under the Lighthouse Dancing”), with newcomers Bill Evans and Paree Brar rounding out the ensemble.
