Her manager, Nikita Sharma confirmed the sad news, praising 32 year old Pandey’s ‘unwavering spirit amidst her health struggles’, before she ‘tragically passed away’. Condolences began pouring in from shocked fans, including Bollywood movie stars, moved to tears and commenting how fit and healthy she had seemed just days earlier. And when celebrities like Poonam Pandey – with millions of followers and a vast reach globally – resort to such appalling tactics, whatever their stated intentions, they make it even harder to separate reality from the fake news and lies.
