In Canada: Diljit Dosanjh to Speak at Billboard Canada Summit at NXNE
Diljit Dosanjh will speak at Billboard Canada's NXNE summit and more Canada music news, including a new French-language streaming quota in Quebec.
The record-setting artist made history with his Dil-Luminati tour last year, with his stadium concerts at Vancouver’s BC Place and Toronto’s Rogers Centre going down as the biggest ever Punjabi music events outside of India. At the summit, Dosanjh will sit down for a special interview with another influential figure in the international music industry: Panos A. Panay, president of the Recording Academy, the organization behind the Grammys. Quebec Culture Minister Mathieu Lacombe tabled a new bill on May 21 that aims to add more French-language content to major streaming platforms, as well as increase its discoverability and accessibility by establishing quotas.
