This month, Peacock is running the second season of Poker Face, a mystery show that owes a lot to Columbo, the hit series that ran from 1971 to 1978. Irons is terrific as he conveys Joe’s desperation and alarm after he’s swept into the crosshairs of a conspiracy that quickly frames him for murdering his fellow CIA officers. Sorvino has a large role as Marty Frost, the woman who is in charge of the CIA’s investigation into Joe’s supposed crimes, while Zimmer’s Robin Larkin doesn’t appear until the second season.
