Iconic noughties show returning to Netflix with original cast more than a decade after ending


One popular noughties drama series is returning to screens after 12 years, with the US show coming back on Netflix

According to Deadline, original stars Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton are set to reprise their roles as Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer, but this time the pair will don the hats of executive producers. Sources told the publication that the sequel series is currently in development, with writer and executive producer Becky Hartman and Warner Bros TV coming on board the Netflix project. One character who may not come back is Lucas Scott, as according to the aforementioned publication, actor Chad Michael Murray has no interest in returning to the show that made him a household name.
