Iconic Emmerdale and Coronation Street sex symbol looks unrecognisable after revealing MAJOR career change


Jacqueline Pier, 48, swapped the cobbles for a desk as she embarked on a new career path and revealed that is she now writing novels.

The beloved actress - who shot to fame in the role of Tina Dingle when she joined Emmerdale in 1994 - took to X, formerly Twitter, sharing a headshot of herself alongside the cover of her latest book called In The Still. Her novels follow the story of her ex-pat character Ali Dalglish, who is an ex-forensic psychologist turned housewife and eventually finds herself embroiled in a twisted series of murder cases. Jacqueline quickly became a soap favourite and nevertheless a 90s sex symbol after joining Coronation Street in 1998, where she played the iconic factory machinist Linda Skyes (pictured on Corrie marrying Mike Baldwin)
