Iconic children's TV star died after 'illicit love triangle' claims
Rainbow star Freddy Marks – best known for his time on the show alongside companions Rod and Jane – died back in 2021, having been plagued by claims of an 'illicit love triangle'
At the time, a poignant tribute was shared in a Facebook fan group dedicated to the long-standing series. Yet their relationships meant the trio were plagued by rumours of an illicit love triangle between them for years – something Jane dispelled in 2008. Thames TV, the production company behind Rainbow and its spin-off – which also made household names out of Geoffrey Hayes as well as George, Bungle and Zippy – took to Instagram to honour Freddy with a touching message.
