Iconic BBC Radio host signs off for the final time with heartfelt message after a legendary 43 years on air
Sharing a heartfelt message to his BBC Berkshire, Oxford and Solent listeners, he said his last goodbyes with an emotional message on Sunday after 43 years.
But despite once being a Romeo who roared around swinging London in his E-type Jag, Tony admits he 'made up' how many sexual encounters he enjoyed before marrying his wife Debbie in 1992. 'I was doing three a week at one time forgetting that I'm now a little bit older, so I ended up in hospital for two months with sepsis and pneumonia and blood poisoning,' he said on BBC Radio Scotland. Back in February 2016, Tony was taken off air by the BBC following the Dame Janet Smith review into sexual abuse at the station.
