Iconic 80s star tragically died in her sleep after failing to get help for headaches

Laura Branigan was a huge 1980s star, but her life was sadly cut short when she died in bed at the age of 52 - she had been planning a comeback after her husband's tragic passing

But Laura sadly met an untimely end while asleep, at the age of just 52, having suffered from persistent headaches but failing to seek any medical advice. After starring in the high school musical in her senior year, she went on to attend the American Academy Of Dramatic Arts and starting singing with a band in 1972. She was later signed to a major record label and after limited success released Gloria, a cover of a hit by an Italian singer from 1979.
