Ice Spice Reveals ‘Y2K’ Debut Album Arrives This Year, Teases ‘Crazy Collaboration’
Ice Spice announced that her upcoming debut album will be titled 'Y2K' and dropping this year.
During a Today interview with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on Tuesday, the Bronx-born rapper revealed that her new record is named after her birthday, Jan. 1, 2020. Ice Spice previously hinted at the name of her new project in November with an Instagram photo of a back tattoo alongside the cryptic message “Y2K! The announcement of her upcoming album arrives two weeks after Duval “D.Chamberz” Chamberlain and Kenley “Kass the Producer” Carmenate accused Ice Spice of copyright infringement over “In Ha Mood.” Carmenate alleged the drill superstar and her producer Riot “copied” the title, hook, chorus, phrasing, and tempo of “In That Mood” without permission or proper credit.
