Ian McKellen Urges LGBTQ Actors to Come Out: ‘Being in the Closet Is Silly’


In an interview with 'The Times of London' Sunday, the Lord of the Rings actor Ian McKellen urged LGBTQ actors to come out of the closet.

In an interview with The Times of London Sunday, the Lord of the Rings actor urged famous LGBTQ people hiding their identity to come out of the closet. In the interview, McKellen reflected on his titular role in Edward II in 1970 and how he’s helped mentor Daniel Evans, who’ll play the King in a new adaptation of the production.
