The actor, best known for playing Kevan Lannister in Game of Thrones, died at the age of 74 on Monday, May 6 following a five-month battle with bile duct cancer. This pic was taken at Christmas time after I’d got him out of hospital and even though he’d gone through the worst three weeks there you can still see his joy and love shining through. Along with his role in Game of Thrones, Ian also appeared in Doctor Who, Fifteen-Live, and His Dark Materials.
