Maura Higgins is set to join I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! as one of two new campmates on Thursday, but it seems she's already a firm favourite

The much-loved series hosted by Ant and Dec blasted off this Sunday evening, throwing viewers straight into the thrills with BBC Radio 1's Dean reaching his limits during the opening challenge, reciting the all-too-familiar phrase "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here! " It's not just about the trials though as emotional moments surface around the campfire, with heavyweight champ Barry McGuigan tearfully reminiscing about his daughter Danika, Oti opening up about a deep personal loss, and Coleen reflecting on the passing of her sister. Yet, it's not all tears and fears - there have been giggles aplenty, especially watching the celebrities cobble together a ditty on their meagre bean and rice diet after failing to snag all the stars in the notoriously gruelling Bushtucker challenges.
