I'm A Celeb welcomes its first arrival! McFly star Danny Jones reveals the show's cast were caught up in a 'bumpy and hairy flight' as he touches down at Brisbane Airport after raging thunderstorm caused chaos

McFly frontman Danny Jones is the first star to touch down in Brisbane Airport ahead of this year's I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

But Danny, along with the show's spin-off hosts Sam Thompson, Joel Dommett and Kemi Rodgers were one of the last passengers to touch down in Brisbane unscathed - all other flights had to make the 1:35 hour diversion. Beloved among thousands of McFly fans as a heartthrob, Danny is to be a sure hit in the Jungle as he is set to join the likes of Coleen Rooney, Maura Higgins and former X-Factor judge Tulisa. Danny met Tom Fletcher when he auditioned for the boy band, V, and after discovering they shared common interests, the pair started writing songs with Dougie and Harry Judd, the drummer joining on.
