I'm A Celeb star's clothes catch fire in alarming on-air accident

There was some fiery entertainment for the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! campmates as one camper’s red socks went up in flames after being left too close to the campfire

Danny Jones joked about the incident in the Bush Telegraph, noting: "Reverend Richard’s socks were blowing holy smoke across the jungle!" The socks caught fire after they were left out to dry Richard, who was a late arrival in the jungle camp along with Maura Higgins, has already become a favourite among both viewers and his fellow campmates. Richard, who knew Strictly Come Dancing star Oti before heading into the camp after competing in the BBC dance show in 2017, then shared his own story, as he recalled: “I remember going once to baptise a little boy, a premature boy, he was born very premature, he was only just alive…” He then had to stop speaking to fight back the tears before continuing.
