Huw Edwards' bleary-eyed mugshot as he swerves jail after memory loss claim

Former BBC News presenter Huw Edwards, 61, was handed a six-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, after admitting to two counts of making indecent images of children

Huw sat forward, hands clasped against his lips, as Mr Goldspring told him: "The impact of child sexual abuse can be severe and lifelong." Following the sentencing of former BBC broadcaster Huw, Claire Brinton from the Crown Prosecution Service remarked: "Accessing indecent images of children perpetuates the sexual exploitation of them, which has deep, long-lasting trauma for these victims. The court also heard that Huw claimed he had 'no memory' of viewing the child abuse images due to his deteriorating mental health, which coincided with the time of the offences.
