Hulu Nabs Mindy Kaling Ensemble Comedy ‘Murray Hill’ With Major Commitment
Six and a half years after The Mindy Project ended its Hulu run, Mindy Kaling is back at the streamer with a new single-camera comedy, Murray Hill.
In a tough marketplace, the project garnered interest from multiple buyers, landing at Hulu in a competitive situation with a script-to-series commitment. Written by Kaling, the comedy revolves around five work-obsessed twenty-somethings who strive for professional success and, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan’s most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill. Following The Mindy Project, Kaling went on to co-create/co-develop hit series Never Have I Ever for Netflix and The Sex Lives of College Girls and Velma for Max.
