Hulu Gets Big ABC Showcase As ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,’ Sherri Papini Docuseries, ‘Only Murders’ All Join Midseason Lineup
ABC's midseason schedule is heavy on repurposed shows from sister streamer Hulu, including "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" and the Sherri Papini docuseries.
The lines between Hulu and ABC(already programmed jointly under head Craig Erwich) continue to blur, as the Alphabet web unveiled a midseason schedule heavy on repurposed hits from the streamer. Meanwhile, Sundays will be a mix of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and “Wonderful World of Disney” presentations until March 9, when the new season of “American Idol” (with new judge Carrie Underwood) returns at 8 p.m. Also, it’s the longest goodbye for Pat Sajak as host of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” which had been pushed from fall and still doesn’t have an airdate in the new year; nor does the new season of “Press Your Luck,” which will also return.
