Hugh Jackman Says He Committed To ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Without Telling His Agent First: “I Really Thought I Was Done”
Hugh Jackman reprises his X-Men superhero role in Deadpool & Wolverine and just revealed he committed to starring opposite Ryan Reynolds even before talking to his agent.
“I was on my way, I was just driving, and literally, just like a bolt of lightning, came this knowing deep in my gut that I wanted to do this film with Ryan,” Jackman said in an interview with Fandango. Marvel boss Kevin Feige was not initially on board with the idea of Jackman returning as Wolverine and recounted his exchange with the actor in an interview with Empire. Despite initial hesitation, Feige had a change of heart and liked the idea that Jackman would not be playing the version of Logan and Wolverine from the previous X-Men films.
