'Venom: The Last Dance' could be beat by A24's 'Heretic' this weekend at box office with $12M a piece
Heretic, which made its world premiere at TIFF, follows two young Mormon missionaries, who are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed (Grant), becoming ensnared in his deadly game of cat-and-mouse. Lionsgate has Kingdom Story Company’s Dallas Jenkins’ directed, feature take of Barbara Robinson bestseller, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, which is being forecasted by insiders at$6M-$8M at 3,000 theaters, however, exhibition believes that a$10M+ start isn’t out of the realm of possibility. As Nancy reported, Amazon MGM Studios’ $200M Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans Christmas action movie, Red One, is flying abroad this weekend via Warner Bros with$25M-$30M.
