Huge pop star appears on EastEnders for shocking special episode complete with an unexpected engagement twist for one Walford couple

Albert Square has welcomed many celebrity faces over the years. But this year, EastEnders has planned a very brief visit from a multi-award-winning singer and actor.

And ahead of his highly-anticipated Eurovision Song Contestant appearance, the Valentino artist is expected to get stuck in an engagement twist for a pair of Walford lovebirds Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer added: 'When we discovered that Olly Alexander was a huge fan of the show and an opportunity arose in one of our stories, it was the perfect moment for us to invite him to Albert Square to appear. Eurovision is taking place in May following Swedish singer Loreen securing victory at last year's show in Liverpool, which brought Sweden's total wins to seven, tying the country with Ireland.
